What is Ethical Non-Monogamy (ENM)?
Ethical Non-Monogamy is an umbrella term for relationship structures where people have multiple romantic or sexual partners with everyone's full knowledge and consent. This includes polyamory, open relationships, swinging, relationship anarchy, and more. Our app welcomes all relationship orientations — ENM, monogamous, and everything in between.
Do I have to be ENM or LGBTQ+ to join?
Not at all. Positive Thots is for anyone who wants to approach relationships with more intention, knowledge, and communication. We welcome everyone who shares our values of education, consent, and respect — regardless of orientation or relationship style.
How does the badge system work?
Each badge is earned by completing a course (multiple sections of reading/video) followed by a quiz. The first 5 Foundation badges are required before Discovery unlocks — ensuring every member has a baseline of knowledge. Badges 6–20 are optional deeper dives. Courses take about 10–20 minutes each and you go at your own pace.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. We use row-level security on all database tables, meaning your data is only accessible to you and your matches. We never sell your data or use it for advertising. Sensitive profile information (sexuality, gender identity, relationship style) is only visible to authenticated app users — never publicly indexed.
How does Premium work?
Premium is $9.99/month and gives you access to see who has already liked your profile, priority placement in Discovery, and direct connection with interested matches. You can cancel anytime — there are no contracts or cancellation fees, and you keep access until the end of your billing period.
Must I be 18 or older?
Yes, absolutely. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use any features of Positive Thots. Age is verified during signup and we reserve the right to terminate any account we believe belongs to a minor.
When does the app launch?
